For the development of medical decision support ExpertDoc has developed its own rules engine and editor. This technology, in contrast to many other decision support systems, is specifically made for use in health care. Since the software is developed in-house, we can garantee rapid development with little to no restrictions on functionality.
NHGDoc is a clinical decision support system for general practitioners (GP’s), nurse practitioners and GP’s assistants available in the GP Information System. The system compares information from the EHR with the recommendations in Dutch guidelines. When a deviation from the guidelines is spotted in the EHR, NHGDoc generates an alert. With NHGDoc users have all-time access to patient tailored guideline recommendations at the point-of-care that allows them to make faster and smarter decisions, avoid mistakes and find blind spots. Already 2,500 GP practices in the Netherlands are connected to NHGDoc.
HCV Therapy Selector is an app, available in all three app stores, that provides evidence based decision support for the treatment of hepatitis C.
The app calculates the chance of cure of hepatitis C infection (% SVR and confidence interval) for more than 100 different patient profiles of hepatitis C infection. For each patient profile results are shown of all published treatments based on FDA-EMA approved drugs. The information is updated monthly. For each treatment, information about its adverse effect profile, cost and reimbursement is given.
In addition to evidence-based data of therapy outcomes, recommendations from guidelines are presented.
The combination of evidence from the latest scientific publications with recommendations from international guidelines makes this app extremely valuable for the practice of ‘person-oriented’ medicine, and unique in its kind.
ExpertDoc develops an App commissioned ‘Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen’ (DJI) that supports healthcare professionals, working in the police and judiciary, with regulations concerning Medical confidentiality.
Healthcare professionals working in a prison often have questions about the application of the regulations (guidelines, laws and jurisprudence) with regard to the medical professional confidentiality. Applying these regulations is often difficult and complicated. The App that ExpertDoc develops is controlled by complex modeled algorithms. By means of an intuitive question-answer game the App provides user-specific information whether medical confidentiality may be breached or not. Imagine a situation where a health care professional wonders if he/she is allowed to share medical information with the TBS clinic where a patient is transferred to.
